Amy Oliver makes functional hand thrown pots, beautifully stamped and functional slab work as well as hand sculpted masks and face pots. She started making pots in 1992 at JMU, and her work shows the influence of her mentors (including David Norton, Scott Supraner, Masako Maith and Terry Gess) in its focus on texture and design.
