Cindy Packard Richmond is a pastel and oil painter. She is also a published novelist and food writer. Though she no longer writes for a living, she is still captivated by food and finds herself irresistibly drawn to painting bulbous shapes: the sweeping curves, tightening spirals, rounded edges, and plump and corpulent essence of food. She finds little comfort in straight lines, which explains why there are so few in her paintings.
