She splits her time between living in the Washington DC area and Belfast, Maine.

Just wanted to let you know I like your work…I had noted it at DC’s big open forum art show a few year’s back, and now recognized it when i was checking the Torpedo site to see what the art world was up to. Smiled when I realized we share a common background- I live in the DC area and have been going to Maine for summer vacation trips since a kid- its Monson, ME for me- in the Moosehead Lake region…I have my vegetables from the garden in my frig now, and my family time and time out in beautiful Maine scenery to keep me happy throughout the year- wish I could spend more time there, but would miss VA too- anyhoo…kudos on your work- you have a fan.
Dear Sheep Jones
I work in the Torpedo Factory at the Potomac Fiberarts Gallery down the hall. I am a fashion designer and I own a small company known as The Avatar Creates Atelier. I have always been facinated by your work, but alas at this stage in my life to own one of your works is a goal not yet achieved but in the planning. At this point I am able to purchase your cards which I have famed in a set of four. Today I chose to use three of these cards for my mood board, inspirational story, and to develop my color story. Please advise if you will give me permission to do so. In my inspriational story I will give my history about how found these treasures and how they are influencing my new fashion line. This will involve a very brief bio of your work with links to your various art home pages; of your choosing. To do this I must set-up a mood board or two and well as a color story. Then I will match the colors to fabric and begin designing my Winter 2012 collection. Please advise on you thoughts of these plans.
Sincerely yours,
Reginald Teamer

Hello:
We ran across your website and thought you might be interested in our upcoming Project. We are Art in Hand™, an arts publisher looking to bring our City Project Decks of cards to the city of Washington, DC. We are seeking 54 artists who are currently living and working in the Washington, DC area to participate in our next City Project Deck.
The Washington, DC Project will be a deck of fully functional playing cards where each individual card in the deck (plus 2 jokers) is rendered in the typical style of the contributing artist. The project will create widespread exposure for participating artists while producing a unique, entertaining, functional and green product for the city of Washington, DC.
We are seeking artists of 2-dimensional art in any style or medium and from as many different neighborhoods and districts within Washington, DC area as possible.
Accepted artists will be assigned one card from the deck and asked to produce an original piece of work that clearly represents their designated card, that represents some aspect (be it overt or subtle) of Washington, DC and that is created in their own unique style.
There will be no fee for participation but accepted artists will be asked to sign a letter of commitment, a confidentiality agreement and a ‘right to reproduce’ agreement as well as submit a high res TIFF of the image in exchange for a one-time royalty payment in product. Artists are free to keep their original image.
Interested artists should submit an email before November 19th, 2010 to info@artinhandcards.com, include a short bio and a link to a website where their work can be easily viewed or 2-3 sample image files representative of their work. Please include the title: Washington, DC Project Artist in the subject line of your email.
If you are accepted to the project, we will contact you after November 22nd, 2010 and send you an information package that should answer all your questions.
For more information or to view other City Projects, please visit our website, http://www.artinhandcards.com.
Thanks for considering being part of this very fun and unique project.
So much has happened in my life over the course of the past ten years: a period roughly coincidental to my tour of the Torpedo Factory and purchase of one of your delightful works. While other purchases and personal creations have come and gone from our walls, that one piece still remains. Each day, it reminds me of the reason I sold my practice and made the change to pursue my own dream of art that I had almost given up on. I now sit in my own studio, paint daily, travel at will, enjoy every sunrise and view life through a new lens of total appreciation indeed, for that decision. It wasn’t the Masters that inspired me but instead, it’s been those like yourself who over-flow with talent and are yourselves so free in its expression. My best wishes always.
Hi Sheep,
I think you’ll recognize my name… from DC, a great admirer and owner of an underground garden painting.
I am coming to Maine the 2nd week of August. I’ll be spending that week in Rockport, ME at the Maine photo workshop. I was thinking of driving up to Belfast on the the 6th. Will you be in town, and can we meet for coffee? Or show me your studio??
Let me know if you get this message.
